But yeah, big overemotive rock hooks without substance or nuance, factory designed to be background music for brief video clips and not even played in full. The backflip is kinda perfect accompaniment cause you see it once and it’s like cool, impressive. But then he just keeps doing it over and over at every appearance and you realize the guy has developed party tricks instead of personality.
This is it, innit. Let the kids enjoy their music. Loads of other stuff I like is still being made whether or not he backflips plaintively to his abandonment song
And if you tell kids that they’re wrong, there’s every chance they’ll disengage and not care about music any more. I’m playing the long game to turn my son into a discerning indie nerd.
