I would say hoovering, but I always feel conscious of the noise + I hate the way our hoover gets sort of clogged up after a while

Vacuuming. Three young kids means that my carpets are a continuous field of crisp and cereal dust. That 30 seconds after you finish where it looks fit for human habitation are quite satisfying. Never lasts though.

I don’t mind doing the washing up at all, nice little hand bath, but the :pinched_fingers: idea :pinched_fingers: Of it does my absolute loaf in.

Yeah when sat at the dinner table after eating and maybe having had a little drink the idea of doing dishes is unconscionable, but basically as soon as I wash the first dish it’s alreet

Steam mopping

Does painting count as a household chore? Painting walls I mean. I like painting walls plenty.

I think mopping is best, because it’s quick. Getting a steam mop helped because it’s a bit less faff and the floor dries almost straight away. Vacuuming can be quick too but it’s too noisy, so not that. Washing up is too frequent and takes too long.

Definitely ironing.

Like the fact you can do it in one place in front of star trek or the test match.

Like that its clearly finite. I’ve done five shirts, five to go, halfway there.

Only ever iron for weddings or funerals, so something like once / twice a year max. It’s a fair novelty at that kind of frequency.

I never feel like I’ve removed all the creases when I iron so don’t get satisfaction from it

Really like cleaning the rug. Do it in a bit of a weird way draping it over a chair then taking a hand brush and brushing the whole thing, then sweeping up a huge pile of hair and dust and grit at the end which is extremely satisfying.
