So here’s the story - there was a band me and friend listened to when we were kids, and for the life of me I’ve never been able to remember the band name. All searches from what I remember have turned up empty. Here’s what I know:
Band played in Maine and or New Hanpshire in the late 80s/early 90s at least
Would be considered Bluegrass I believe.
Song titles I remember were Time and Toys (super generic I know!)
Part of one song goes like this,“Oh where, oh where did the music go? Did they trade our guitars for horns that did not blow?”
That’s all I know. I actually reached out to my friend, who haven’t talked to in over 20 years, thinking he would remember for sure, and he doesn’t!
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me solve this lifelong mystery!
searched those lyrics and it came up with a band called Acoustic Junction. That song is called Where Oh Where. They have a song called Time on Spotify too. Doesn’t sound like bluegrass but they’re around the right time period so I reckon it’s them.
Wow, you are a God. I’m usually pretty damn good at google searches too! That part of lyric just sprung into my head for the first time today, so I should have taken more time looking around! In any case, that’s it! Thanks a ton!!
Funny follow up, after ma0sm found the band name, I texted the guy in the above story the name of the band, along with a couple of youtube links… and he doesn’t remember at all. Whomp… whomp…
