What games do you play?
I think Kalooki (Kalooki rules and how to play) is very good. Requires 2 decks and jokers though but works well with just 2 people or more also.
Played a bit of Monopoly Deal a while ago and thought it was good fun too.

Could do with some more simple ish 2 player card games (regular 52 card deck) to play at the pub with my partner if anyone knows any

This is the original version, I play the zombie version.
I absolutely destroyed everyone at Love Letter during the DiS getaway, which is apparently just posh Go Fish. You need a fair few players to make it work.
You can just score on a pad tbf, used to like playing cribbage but she REFUSES TO LEARN
I like poker for roughly 1 week a year before it bores me again.
Have definitely had a few periods of my life where I’ve played quite a lot of poker in short bursts (with friends, for fun, low stakes). Can be incredibly exciting but a game where you should be folding a lot of the time turns out to not be that enjoyable especially if the rest of the game is quite slow.

There’s not much strategy to it, but Spit is very fun
Saboteur was also great.
Really love Bezique which is a bit obscure I think but is this old French one that’s a bit tactical and sneaky and really fun. Discovered it randomly via one of the phone app games. Feels like I’m using my brain a bit more than something like Poker.

As posted on the other thread, this really is a very addictive card game. Equally good for two players or more. Easy enough for kids to play (my 9 year old has spread it round the school under one of the more polite aliases but is disclosing the real name only to us inner circle).
