Chicken Kievs

watched the long goodbye recently and there’s a bit where elliott gould’s mind is completely blown by chicken kievs. just totally baffled by the concept of garlic butter inside the chicken, how did it get there, why is it so good, etc.

good film imo

Big fan of garlic chicken kievs. Don’t have them that often but really enjoy when I do. These are the tastiest imo.

I bought some of these reduced last week.

They’re in the freezer as a lazy/ brown option but I’m glad to know they’re rated so highly.

I used to enjoy these yeah. Filling is nice and it doesn’t leak out during cooking.

Not better than the garlic butter ones but certainly less messy.

Yeah for my kids (mainly so I can have some). Essentially a findus crispy pancake made of chicken instead of pancake

M & S vegan Kievs are the GOAT of the vegan Kiev world. The mini frozen ones they sometimes have around Christmas time are amazing too!

Ooooh I want a chicken Kiev now

Unsurprisingly the best one I ever had was, indeed, in Kyiv

Not a big fan, too buttery I think? Sorry

Love them but my husband thinks they’re vile so haven’t had one for 10 years maybe?!!

Just found out these are gluten free so mini kievs are back on the menu!!

They’re always just fine. Nothing special, fills a hole etc.

Much prefer it the ones with something other than garlic butter in the middle. Had them too much as a kid and now they’re just… eh. Saying that, I probably had more Southern Fried chicken than Kiev’s and I still have them regularly, so… :man_shrugging:
