Chicken Kievs

How dare M&S take the name of mini kievs in vain like that!

THIS is what a mini kiev should look like

They used to be S tier frozen food. Mini kievs and Findus Crispy Pancakes were always undefeated. Although after having mini kievs as an adult, they were a bit disappointing.

Damn, I could go for some FCP now.

not sure I’ve had one? Probably at some kind of dinner thing when I was at a school holiday place or something?

How do we feel about the Bernard Matthews mini ones? Fantastic buffet option IMO

Had them a year or two ago and they were shit. Was gutted.

I bought them for The Child thinking they would be a massive hit (chicken nuggets and garlic are two of her main foodstuffs) but she wasn’t into them at all.

I think they’re fine but I’ve only had them lukewarm when she’s refused them.

no one else in the world has ever described them as too buttery, I’m absolutely sure of that

Just a big nugget once the filling inevitably escapes during cooking. 2/10

You know you don’t have to throw the filling away if it comes out on the tray?

You’ll burn your tongue if you try to lick it up.

Love a kiev.

Really weird combo thinking about it but my favourite meal when I was a kid was a garlic kiev with pasta in cheese sauce.

One of my old university housemates used to have spaghetti as an accompaniment to a kiev all the time.

love chucking my chips in with the kievs, then giving the chips a bit of a basting with the garlic butter that’s oozed out the kievs.

They were all out of the Plant Kitchen kievs in Aldi. Fuming, tbh.
