Gladly
nae chance
holy shit, totally forgot they did some gigs together, was that earlier this year??
Getting early Trail Of Dead vibes in parts of this new tune. Which is no bad thing at all, of course.
So many DiS milkshake ducks in one thread
December. Hotelier were pretty rubs tbh
Last album did nothing for me. Previous two are bangers.
Excited about a new one.
Thanks.
I like the last two equally, both great.
Not heard their earlier stuff or the new song
Thanks
How many indie wanker points do I score for getting into cloud nothings upon release of their first CD-R?
I got into Cloud Nothings circa Here and Nowhere Else and have not heard Life Without Sound due to everyone saying it was a bit rubbish, if you update your poll to include this option I will vote accordingly
I didnât hate Life Without Sound by any means, I just thought it was a bitâŚboring? I tried to get into it loads when it came out, but it didnât really grab me Might just be because I listened to Attack on Memory and Here and Nowhere Else so much that I couldnât hack even a slight drop-off in quality (which the last album definitely was, youâd have to be mad not to think that). 6/10 at best
What put me off more about them was that they were fucking shiiiiiiiiiiiit in Birmingham when they were touring the last album.
Really enjoying this new track, some cracking drumming and a really nice ramshackle feel to it.
Really liking the Kasabian covering The Hotelier sound of this new song.
Home, like no roof is there.
aye itâs not shit, just doesnât really have any tunes does it?
i havenât listened to Here & Nowhere Else as much as Attack on Memory but put it on yesterday for the first time in ages, and basically every song that i thought i couldnât remember, i got to the chorus or a certain hook and went âooh yeah itâs this one!â i think i only ever get that with like one song on Life Without Sound.
Yup. Off the top of my head I think I can remember maybe one or two off the last one - not great for an album that came out last year which I probably listened to 20+ times.
also the new song doesnât like a classic but is a bit more exciting so looking forward to hearing if there are some good bangers on the album
i suspect it will be better than the last album but not as good as the previous two
UK tour in January. Playing Thekla in Bristol again, think theyâve played there every time theyâve come to Bristol. Thought they might mix it up.
Hmm⌠Really donât know if I can be arsed this time. As a live band, I sort of feel I know exactly what to expect from them. Might nip along if they play Edinburgh, but canât really be bothered dragging myself to Glasgow.
New track is up on Spotify
