Loving this. The singles work well in the context of the album and the new tracks are all very solid, excluding Somethings Gotta Give which does very little for me. Been excited to hear Post Truth since they opened with it at EOTR.
should listen to these a bit more
my issue with these and all the similar good bands with people younger than me in is that⦠idkā¦
I find it hard getting past hearing the obvious worship of all the choicest arty post-punk bands. itās just really good dress-up, and itās hard not to roll my eyes.
sometimes when Iām in a good mood I just enjoy it, tho
yeah m9 I also love The Pop Group and Go4 and DAF and Pere Ubu and DNA and
Great album this, enjoying it way more than I am the Protomartyr (although really itās only the coincidence of the release date that makes me compare them). Favor Your Fortune doesnāt half sound like Rock Me Amadeus though, right?
Enjoying this so far. Although looking at the photos, no idea how many people are supposed to be in the band.
Really enjoying this too! Lots of ideas bouncing around, and some great tunes too. Plus at 30 minutes, itās really easy to stick on repeat and just let it play and play and play.
Itās a collective - people come and go. Their touring band is 7 IIRC
Itās almost too short. No filler though at least
Do you think their November UK tour is still going ahead? Both their albums are great.
Live album available now with vinyl pre-order ICYMI.
Bit late to the party with these guys - I only heard Pain Olympics for the first time yesterday after it was thrown up as a āsimilar artist toā something else I was listening to on Amazon Music.
Sounds messy and energetic as anything and I get Q and Not U vibes from some of the songs, really enjoying it.
CC member Daniel Robertson has an album out on friday under the name Peace Chord. Just got a very respectable 8/10 review in Loud and Quiet.
Cheers for the heads up. Will check that out on Friday ![]()
New NOV3L album announced. New single out now.
They share one (at least) member with CC.
Awesome. Straight on preorder. Didnāt realise their (brilliant) first release was an EP!
Iāve just realised I have one spare for Crack Cloud at the Brudenell tonight. With all the rearranging of gigs we completely forgot it was tonight so my mate can no longer make it. Free to a good home but you might need to meet me at the doors as itās on Dice.
It was fucking awesome!
Off to see them tomorrow night. Havenāt seen them live before, really looking forward tonight. ![]()
Youāre in for a treat. They seem to work so much better live. Not that theyāre bad on record or anything, but the energy of the songs just comes across much better.
what time were they on stage at roughly?!
