It’s funny he’s taken that view considering how collaborative Gorillaz are, surely if he really is that big of a p***k most of those artists would never have worked with him.
Weird thing is that in the Britpop era he was very generous with co writing credits; all songs credited to all four band members etc. Certainly not something Noel Gallagher was doing. I know he’s done that since too; giving Shaun Ryder a co-write credit for Dare etc. It’s a funny one for him to wade into, considering how notoriously knotty music publishing is anyway.

Just spent a bit of time checking the writing credits for a load of Blur, Gorillaz and TGTBTQ songs on Spotify. The lack of self awareness is astonishing given that he’s never written a song on his own that wasn’t a complete tuneless dirge.

Thing with Albarn is that it’s not just that he’s a dickhead, he’s also a weird loser. A very cringe man.
I quite like Gorillaz (wouldn’t go and see Blur if they were out the back), but Albarn is one of the most strangely uncharismatic frontmen I think there’s ever been. One of very few who inspire devotion where I just cannot see what the attraction is, whether I share it or not.
Find his recent solo stuff insanely boring. Like, impressively so. It’s as though it’s precision engineered to be as banal as possible. Baffling. Blur are pretty shite and all. Gorillaz got some tunes.
