Does it still centre around the ridiculous Motherboxes thing where there are just these boxes ‘guarded’ by the Amazons and the Antlantians in the shittest way so the bad guy just drops in, grabs them and leaves?

It was fine wasn’t it? Nice chunkier action scenes, a lot more “stuff”. Better character arcs, and design work. Still think the story is not very strong, and the script is still really wonky in places. The opening two hours is baggy as hell, and for me the stakes weren’t really defined well enough in MOS/BVS for it all to really land in this one. Much, much better than Josstice League. Still maybe a strong 6, weak 7.
People praising Cyborg’s narrative arc in this version as if most of it wouldn’t have inevitably wound up on the cutting room floor if Snyder had done the 120-150 minute released version in 2017
