I attended an early screening of If Beale Street Could Talk where Barry Jenkins gave a Q&A afterwards. It was obviously really interesting and he was super cool. If I’d have been chosen to ask a question it would have been: when you get one hundred million dollars to make your next film what will it be?

Would not have expected this. Fair play.
Not seen the trailer but I’m expecting it to be good. Looking forward to it quite a lot.

Trailer for Flight Risk before Gladiator 2 tonight. Very much enjoyed how it has a big onscreen “from the director of BRAVEHEART, APOCALYPTO and HACKSAW RIDGE” graphic, without actually saying who that individual is

Pretty stupid really, it’s like hiding the fact your film is a musical in a trailer, people will find out if they see the damn film anyway!

not to prejudge this, but the trailer looks absolutely fucking terrible. like a video game cut scene, how dissassociated the voices are from the film
