Quiet month for me tbh. Top 2 I really like, the others are things i enjoyed listening to but doubt I’ll return to. Main thing this month for me has been a couple of reissue gems - Camino del Sol by Antena & Michael O’Shea S/T.

Excited for another year of this…thanks as always @BMS1. Liking the shift to a 5 album format too. January has been a great month for me. Some real standouts.
1 The Twilight Sad - It won/t be like this all the time
2 Press Club - Late Teens
3 Hollow Comet - S/T
4 Better Oblivion Community Center - S/T
5 Lost Under Heaven - Love hates what you be ome

Hollow Comet is the side project of Strange Ranger frontman as pointed out in another thread by @TAFH33 highly recommend if you like lofi acoustic stuff. Sharon Van Etten, Pedro the Lion, Angelo De Augustine and Steve Gunn could alao easily have made my list this month as well

Cheers @Cameron12 for the Hollow Comet shout. Your description enticed me in, I am something of a sucker for ‘lofi acoustic stuff’. Currently on track 3, and liking what I hear so far. So cheers! Must have missed the other thread where @TAFH33 mentioned this, so thanks to him/her too!

Swervedriver instead of James Blake is your number 4? Your 5th choice remains the same?

Blake at 5, please

Changes to my choices:

  1. Sharon Van Etten - Remind Me Tomorrow
  2. The Delines - The Imperial
  3. Press Club - Late Teens
  4. Blood Red Shoes - Get Tragic
  5. Sneaks - Highway Hypnosis

I’ll do the (final) counting sometime on Sunday afternoon.

I’ve counted what’s been voted already…very close at the top. Friday morning’s don’t get much more exciting.

What a fabulous January - normally you’re lucky to get one halfway decent album in January but this month has been great.

  1. Sharon Van Etten
  2. Twilight Sad
  3. James Blake
  4. Dawn Richard
  5. Deerhunter

Absolutely love all of those.

Only slight disappointment was Better Oblivion Community Center. It’s perfectly fine but not a touch on Stranger in the Alps. I hope Phoebe Bridgers eventually makes another solo album.
