It’s well made and sad and stuff, but I fucking hated this when I was a kid

Does the snowman befriend the kid and let him form an emotional attachment knowing that soon he will melt, or does his sentience not extend that far? A classic Christmas debate.

There was a Cosgrove and Hall stop-motion animation thing based on a russian fairy tale that had characters like a deadly sharpshooter hunter and a woman who could eat unlimited amounts of food and they all sailed in the sky and took on the Tsar
