Do you sometimes...

…just have a few slices of tomato with rock salt on and a nice cup of tea?

If not you’re probably a right cock.

Don’t know what you’re missing.

I do sometimes just stand in the kitchen, salting and eating a tomato slice by slice

No but my absolute lockdown go to has been…

Tomatoes roasted in olive oil, basil leaves, pine nuts and a burrata.

Food of the gods.

slicing tomatoes are no good anymore, at least the ones we get over here

but I used to have sliced up tomatoes as a snack on the regs back in the day

maybe getting cherry tomatoes and etc whenever I feel like it has spoiled normal tomatoes a bit too

I remember going to the beach once, and my best auntie and uncle and a few of my cousins were there, and either my auntie or my cousin Lynne had brought some homegrown cherry toms

first time I’d ever tried them, and they blew my mind

Tomatoes with salt as a side with chips are excellent.

Ding ding ding.

There it is.

Wish my Grandad was still around and growing his tomatoes. Never tasted a better tomato in my life. Would go for one with a load of salt right now.

Raw celery and salt is also good

Not done this but used to love popping a slice of tomato and a slice of cheese into my mouth simultaneously like a tiny breadless sandwich.

Also, what’s the white thing in the middle, and how do you cook this dish?

Burrata is like a more gooey mozzarella. Just oozes when you cut into it. Utter filth
