Reluctantly bought this cos my gamer mate was keen to play it together. First boss is… Magrit??? This really feels like some pc modder’s add on to ER, can’t believe they’re charging full game prices for this!
Also you’re supposed to play online in teams of 3 but I was playing for half an hour and I had to do something else… Had to ditch my randomers cos the game takes longer than that.
Don’t think this is going to be for me.
if someone can give me a game to ween me off I’m all ears

I uninstalled the PS5 version of ER of which I had 190 hrs in so I had space to install Black Myth Wukong (or as I think I’ll call it Boss Boss Boss!).
Felt dirty that ER was not installed on my PS5 so reinstalled my PS4 version on the PS5 external HD and it was like seeing an old friend seeing my 284 hour character for the 1st time since 2022.
This character is super built and has completed the base game and is still rolling in game 1 in the open world. Just spoke to that character that gives you the Festering Bloody Finger. This is how you get into the DLC right? I’ve forgotten but it feels right?.
The toned down visual of the PS4 version running on a PS5 gives more of a Souls vibe and it runs immaculately. Think my OG character will do well in the DLC. Can someone point me there please?
Yes. But if I’m reading correctly you’ve beat most of the base game so you probably already have the entrance to the DLC unlocked.
You need to beat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg Lord of Blood and travel to the latter’s arena to find the entrance
That’s what everybody said

Radahn is down in 2022, have forgotten how to get to Mohg? Do I need to invade from the item a few times then am transported there? That’s how my memory reads but I’m prob wrong.
284 (now 285 hrs with PS4 character Vs 187 or so for my PS5 full play through until DLC wall.
Is Starscorage Rad the same as normal Rad in the base game?
If you right click on your map you will see the underground areas. If you’ve unlocked Mohgwyn’s Palace then you have his general area. the bonfire you are looking for is called Cocoon of the Empyrean. If you haven’t found his level yet then you have to do the NPC quest. You don’t have to invade online, you can just go to Writheblood Ruins and fight the NPC who has a red summon sign 3x. Beat him or die 3 times and then go back and see the priest who will give you the Pureblood Knight Medal which will grant you access to Mohgwyn’s Palace

Top stuff, thank you. I’ve done it before when the DLC dropped initially but completely forgot. By chance, because the map in that blue early watery area is not found in my base PS4 game I went there and stumbled across him looking for the map thing by the church. All of the rest of the map is open and almost all main and side bosses are down in my old game save.
Last Q. Where is Whiteblood Ruins?
Altus Plateau near the bridge to Mt Gelmir. The red summon sign can be quite hard to find, look for a part of the ruins with a bunch of red dogs guarding it

Thanks again. I remember Mohg being nails hard, but this old character is taking everyone down with a few hits, time will tell.
Am working from home today so don’t be holding the questions back
I will say if you’re still running a standard shortsword/longsword + shield you are going to get destroyed by the DLC
You’ll need an item for your physick flask to help with this fight or alternatively about 10 estus flasks
I personally love this fight, doesn’t help you have to face him every time you want to unlock the DLC but it’s great (aside from the health drain mechanic)

I’m IN! Mohg was dead! Which I don’t understand as I have not played or had my PS4 version installed since before the DLC was released, must have cross saved somehow? Bizarre but I’m IN. Couldn’t find Knight in the cave and am at Lionheads gaff.
