Think it’s pretty weird when people get so worked up about football to be honest, particularly when they’re apparently “woke” types regarding other subjects elsewhere. Even if they’ve had a few.
Banter, tribalism and a bit of harmless schaudenfraude is one thing, but not sure you can spout hate speech about people in a city who support another club and be a particularly intelligent or well adjusted person. Given that most football fans dislike the ones that are most similar to themselves, and fanbases are also by they’re very nature a fairly broad church, it’s incredibly dim witted.
Think we sometimes tolerate behaviour in this thread that would get people banned in others tbh.

In my defence - with a sore head - re-read the post that kicked it all off and it was incredibly lukewarm tbh. Gave as good as I took from that point on. Don’t really see the issue. We’re just normal men. We’re just innocent men.

Just had a chat with the relevant stakeholders, and as punishment for their posts the community has funded Safebruv a ticket in the John Charles West Stand for Leeds vs Brighton, and Nestor a spot on the Stretford End for the big Man United vs Southampton game. “Fernandes 8” shirt pre-ordered on click and collect for Nestor to pick up on the big day, temporary “ALAW” sleeve tattoo for Saferbruv to be administered on arrival.
Hopefully they both enjoy their days, and can really learn something from their United families.
