Sat in the garden researching for tomorrow and my fave neighbour just came out and we had such a good chat. She’s the best.
Was gonna make a fried rice dish but m has decided to have tea with her pal so I might not bother.
Only got 5 people coming on the free tour tomorrow lunch - lunch tours are always hard to fill then got to hang around for 5 hours for the evening one. Just found a cracking series of letters in the newspaper archives though of Victorian men challenging each other to swimming contests. “Meet me at Princes Dock at 1pm if you’re so skilled” Good sir! I shall.

Made a curry. Kids actually like it. Going to the park shortly to hang out, Magnums in the fridge.

The DCP was sent to Cannes today after I did a final check in the Post-house cinema
The poster was finally released
It’s all wrapped up & I’m sorting my shit out to fly down to Cannes for the Premiere next week
I am DEAD though - can barely think straight but I managed to see it through and I’m looking forward to it getting out in the world
In more prosaic news, my body really needed it so I made this for dinner
Need to have an early night & then hunt down the next job/project

Somehow got lucky and got to the station after work just before the thunderstorm. It had stopped when I got off the train and now I’m back home it looks like it’s about to belt down again.
Probably should have bought a lottery ticket.

I made a butternut squash tagine with couscous for tea. It was pretty good and has been well received by the family.
We’re currently watching Wicked (or at least the first hour until bedtime).

Glorious evening. Just watered the plants with rainwater from the water butt.
Think my partner’s going out, so I’m probably going to head to bed early because I am shattered, thank you, uterus / lack of iron.

It absolutely shit it down earlier. Very heavy rain, hail, thunder, lightning. The works. The garden is grateful for it though.
Made roast fennel, tomato, garlic and chilli pasta for tea. Banging.
Trying to get some ducks in a row for a couple of house viewings and time off work on Thursday. Being an adult is tough innit
