That’s good to know it’s doable, thanks! Although I wouldn’t mind if it was endless - don’t really want it to end!

I quite enjoyed when I gave up on stealthing past the humanoid enemies and just started running them over in my truck

I did like Death Stranding mostly, but the self indulgent cut scenes irked me and there were def moments where I just felt like it was doing artsy stuff that Nier Automata had done but this time with the fun removed

Slippy Slidey Ice Worlds (admittedly not much of an issue since the 90s).

Oh yeah, yappy sidekicks who think they’re funny. Get rid of them too.

I love stealth when done well. Much prefer to do pacifist/stealth runs through games like MGS and Dishonoured. You all daft.

The first section isn’t a nice introduction.

Stealth is wild to me because it is in loads of games either as a central mechanic or an optional element or as an occasional side mission but yet so few games get it right and make it even remotely fun.

I absolutely love playing BOTW on Master Mode as a stealth game

I keep coming back to this and laughing out loud.

Excellent work.

Do you think that love can bloom? Even on the battlefield?

Can I be fucked with Simon in Clair Obscur?! Seeing that second phase was worse than any souls boss! Also starting to feel like I’ve had enough now - the fights aren’t quite as fun.

Got back onto Returnal over the last couple of weeks. It’s such an incredible game and I’m still so shit at it. Although, I have started to make some progress.

A few things that slowly dawned on me:

You can’t play it like Doom. The movement is so fast and smooth that I was always trying to rush straight in when taking your time and picking enemies off works a lot better.

You don’t need to beat the boss every time! But I definitely need to explore the first area to get a level 5 or 6 weapon before continuing.

You can sprint.

Maybe I’ll finish it before the PS6 comes out.

Just sacked it all off because that’s pretty poor boss design. Having looked it up you need a very specific synergy of characters/pictos, which doesn’t seem in the spirit of the rest of the game. All told I’ve had about seventy hours of a great time though!

You hit the same barrier I hit with Renoir (1) but just much later
