Will update when I fail to get tickets

I’m in a very different time zone when tickets go on sale so may just say no now.

Seems like there’s one of these every year

Want to go, dependent on getting tickets. Can’t be presumptuous at this stage.

Once was definitely enough for me

Would love to go again but fancy camping will sadly be a requirement for me I think

How much is fancy camping? As we’re taking kids for the first time what’s the best thing to do to minimise trips to the car with stuff? Can we park near a family field?

Ironic how fancy camping is for people who don’t actually

When I looked for this year, once you factored in the ticket it was close to a grand in total.

My mates go every year but always go for the fancy camping so it was that or camp on my own (lol) so I didn’t bother.

this is how i feel, like i enjoyed it but its so fucking big you know? i know everyone says it but its so fucking big. if its taking an hour to get from one end to the other, and its costing £400 to go, and you’ve got to get there on the wednesday to get a decent camping spot, then im glad i did it but i dont think i want t do it again. but then on the other hand, how many festivals am i likely to see dolly parton and mogwai at the same weekend? not many

Yeah, fancy camping is very pricey. If you know someone with a campervan, getting an additional campervan ticket is £200, and that way you can just park up and not have to lug anything about. You can arrive Tuesday afternoon if you want to as well and you won’t have to queue for a wristband. Big if though!

There’s parking that’s relatively near the family field, but you’re still looking at a good 20-30 minute schlep across multiple fields (and then a fairly long queue for wristbands) - or at least that’s what we found, we arrived around 8am on the Wednesday.

So, we will sort of have a camper by then, but it won’t be converted. You can get two adults to sleep in there though. If you’re in a camper I’m guessing you can also have a tent?

If it’s within your pitch size, you can. They’re quite strict about how ‘converted’ your van is though:

ah, fair enough, we won’t qualify for that! Thanks

New ticket system. Seems to put an end to ticket hacks. Looks like you’re randomly assigned a place in the queue, and either you will or won’t get tickets based on that. Like, you’ll more or less know before the sale even starts, I guess.

Means no more refreshing, and seems to be a fairer system than before.

Just a case of using as many devices on different networks as possible I guess?

“Tickets are only allocated once your payment has been processed – so we would encourage you to enter your payment details swiftly (but accurately).”

Is that new? I thought you used to have tickets reserved for you for a bit whilst you entered your payment details…
