Glastonbury 2025

ngl, I had t read that headline 5 times to understand it

Yes, but they still don’t have tickets to the festival.

Ah, yes. Was just a throwaway comment, but I see there was more to the yurt than met the eye.

Last year a friend took me to see a band called Old Time Sailors. Wasn’t really my thing but seemed like harmless fun. Turns out they might actually be some sort of mad cult conducting modern slavery? Apparently they played 17 hour-long sets last year (though I can only see 14 on the clashfinder). There’s a big Reddit post about it here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/cults/comments/1jzq6om/i_think_there_is_a_new_cult_in_the_uk_the_band/?share_id=IuC4osfztRavVsJmOvRMU&utm_content=1&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1&rdt=39465&sort=new

The most recent development is that their van crashed and multiple people have been arrested on modern slavery charges.

Bet all these people buying the 12k yurts are the same who go for a jog on the morning

Genosys is the safest haven on site for this

The line up for Genosys looks really solid. Not sure I made it there last year. Is it just an area of SE Corner that happens not to get tooooo rammed/somewhat accessible if you enter from the side?

No it’s fine IME but I’m very accustomed to it so might be a bit blind idk. The crowding is generally the common/shangri la crossing and the one way through the back of shangri la (that’s changing this year too) but genosys is usually fine, iicon is never that busy, the only crowded bits of block9 would be the queue for the downlow.

The common can be busy near the temple

Genosys and IICON are my favourite spots to hang out post-midnight, amazing visuals and sound systems and never overly rammo (unless bicep or four tet are playing). Midland doing the sunrise set Friday night/Sat morning last year was a highlight.
Was a bit perturbed to see Fatboy Slim on the list for this year but looks like it’s just a daytime thing…

Remember every couple of weeks that 1975 are headlining and it makes me laugh every time, not even in an off the back of a triumphant new album/single way, just a “fuck it, they’ll do” way.

Got to be right up there with the biggest :man_shrugging: Glastonbury headliners

Sam Fender was right there, lads.

Might raise you Shakespear’s Sister and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

(Anyone who dares say Carter USM gets a slap!)

Least we know what all the Mundial readers are going to be wearing this summer.

Thought we normally get the full lineup and stage times in May?

Come on lads, tha clique needs to know who’s clashing with Alanis Morrissette

Out tomorrow I believe, bits of it have already been leaked on reddit

Awful timing for me. First day in months that I’ll be in the office… Wonder if clashfinder just looks like some task management tool to the untrained eye…

Really nice colour scene but should be stripes instead

Ocean?

It could easily pass for some kind of planning tool.
