Good albums that aren't on streaming

Not on streaming in the UK.

God bless Apple Music and iTunes Match!

My usual response is the Feelies two albums released on A&M (‘Only Life’ and ‘Time for a Witness’) but they’ve appeared. The first three Yo La Tengo albums are still missing (including my favourite ‘Ride the Tiger’).

forward russia is on spotify in the UK, are you on a different service/elsewhere?

I’m on Tidal :v:

Oh no I’ve just checked and they’re on there now. They weren’t like 2 years ago and I’ve been assuming they’re no streaming ever since. Strike them from the record

Camberwell Now (Charles and Trefor from This Heat along with their sound tech Steve Rickard)
/ either The Ghost Trade or the All’s Well comp that combines the album with other stuff. One of my favourite records (particularly the comp)#

also The Necks only ever put their current album on and maybe one or two bits because I guess streaming isn’t worth it when you deal in single 60 minute tracks.

Youtube music is better than most because you can download videos of albums that people have uploaded to Youtube and listen to them as you would usually on Spotify

Oh, thought of another one! Probably my favourite rap album of the last 25 years and he took it off streaming!

I’ve been wanting to try Puressence’s S/T album after @UncleRetrospective recommended it twice but it’s not on streaming in the US and last time I checked not even on Youtube here (missing half of the songs and most of the ones on there blank out in the US).

oooooh!!

I probably saw these on an ATP line-up but never watched them or investigated, but this is nice, feels like it must have informed ‘In Prism’ quite a bit

There are a couple of Jens Lekman albums that only appear in their rerecorded (copyright friendly) form and are slightly worse for it. This song in particular
