Green Man 2019

Hand Habits is probably the best guitarist I’ve ever seen live. Proper jaw-dropping solos pulled out of nowhere.

Thanks - not fussed about Eels or White Fence so will give this a go (so long as it doesn’t end up clashing with Ezra Collective).

Think Ezra Collective are clashing with James Yorkston - which I’m already fuming about - so you might be ok.

Peaness are really good live.

ezra collective fans- i’m confident you’d like snazzback at chai wallahs on the sunday, my soles must have aged months last time they played.

Thanks for the recommendation, listening now. I’ll have to take a look at the programme on arrival and see if we can squeeze them in. One week and we’ll be about to set up camp (:crossed_fingers:not in the rain).

Massively this. Really cba with rain, especially in tent set up stage

Thanks for the recommendation - listening to Park Ark right now and it’s right up me street.

First thing I’m going to do when I get there is buy a programme. Bet there are tonnes of great things not on the main poster.

Also have fingers, toes and snapped ankles crossed for no rain.

Does anyone here know the site well? I’m wondering if I’ll need to go really early to the Walled Garden to catch Snapped Ankles. Can it / is it likely to get full up?

They’ve haven’t done late stuff there apart from DJs in the years I’ve been, so hard to say, but the late stuff at Far Out doesn’t get too rammed. You’ll be fine. But come in from the main strip, not Einstein’s Garden as that’s a big bottleneck

You probably won’t need to get there ridiculously early, but might be worthwhile not leaving it too late if you’re wanting to get a good spot.

They changed the layout of the Walled Garden a couple of years back to have the stage in the middle of the back wall (used to be in the corner), so there’s extra room, but the better spots are on the right-hand side by the entrance to Einstein’s Garden - left-hand side is fine but less space due to the picnic tables and sound tent.

Thanks @rich-t and @anon24684334 - that’s good to know. I’ll do a recce earlier on. Not desperate to be right at the front, just want to make sure I’m in

We saw Snapped Ankles last year play the really late slot (1am-ish?) and it wasn’t that busy. Really excited about this now!

Thanks - they’re one of my favourite bands and just aware that many other stages will be closed…but then I guess a lot of folks will have headed to bed too (I probably would if it wasn’t them)

Aye, they’re cracking. We’d seen John Grant, watched half of Fleet Foxes then headed over about 10 mins before they were on at the Walled Garden and it wasn’t busy. Got a cheese toastie, chatted to Big Jeff, then the madness happened! Snapped Ankles really work best at night for the full experience.

That’s usually back-to-the-tent-for-rum time for me, but reckon Snapped Ankles could tempt me over.

Should point out that back-to-the-tent-for-rum is not a euphimism.

Great, my wife wants to see Maribou State so I’ll maybe get to see some with her instead of camping out to make sure I get in.

Hoping that they release the set times soon. Have an idea more or less of what I can see but would be good to know before doing a deeper dive into the undercard :eyes:

Apparently they don’t ‘release them’. They are in the programme only but some kind soul will take some pictures on Monday and post them online.
