Never knowingly heard DCFC but do really like the Postal Service album. 4 for Postal Service, abstain on DCFC,

Went to see Death Cab at Brixton about 9 years ago and it’s one of the only gigs I’ve ever left early because they were so SO boring.

Used to quite like Transatlanticism but I mean…they’re basically just music for The OC soundtrack aren’t they?

2/5.

Such Great Heights is obviously a choon.

Never got into DCFC. Saw them because Frightened Rabbit were supporting. Dullsville.

Another vote for death cab being dull as sin.

Postal service album has it’s moments but think they’re spread pretty thin.

1 and 2

I understand why people think Death Cab are dull but one man’s dull is another man’s understated beauty - I’m going for a 5.

Those early albums are all full of wonderful songs and although they’ve declined in the quality of their output with more recent albums I just think they’re great.

Postal Service are an easy 5 too - one perfect album.

Well I like The Postal Service, but not Death Can for Cutie, so I’m a bit stumped on this one

Once I had a little go at getting into Death Can for Cutie because a few people recommended them. Did not succeed. 1/5.

never even occurred to me to attempt to listen to them

That’s why there are separate votes.

Time for me to dig out my massive Death Cab play list and listen to them all day!

5 for both

Absolutely adore DCFC. One of the first indie bands I got into as a kid through odd tracks sent over MSN.

So many tracks still make me almost tingle. Love Ben’s voice too.

Also that Brixton Postal Service show was an all timer. Big cathartic release.

Was quite fond on DCFC until Plans then completely lost interest. Also Transatlanticism brings back pretty bad memories.

Postal Service album is superb aside from some ropey lyrics

3 and 4, respectively

DCFC have a number of really good albums and sound fantastic live. Postal Service have one album with some really good songs, and it shows when they try to do a whole gig.

Yep, this exactly. Give Up is the model of a 4/5 album

still absolutely love the photo album and transatlanticism but can take or leave the rest

give up is still amazing but when I finally got to see them in Manchester they were boring as sin

4/5 for both seems fair
