Not a fan when he’s sat at a piano.

Not sure about my album choice really. Honestly don’t think I’ve properly listened to a later album than Spike. Which was one of my very earliest lp purchases I think

What about when he’s stood with a guitar?

That’s my boy.

Only know the hits. Find him mildly irritating: not really sure why. Maybe because hes called elvis.

Have ‘i dont want to go to Chelsea’ in my head A LOT.

Abstain.

Only know Oliver’s army. Should I try and listen to anything else?

Do you like Oliver’s Army?

He’s been compared to Huey Lewis but I think Elvis has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humour

Some of his early stuff is brilliant, but I really can’t get on with the slow, jazzy stuff, which is all I seem to hear by him now. Given him a 3.

It’s a 5 from me. My mum used to play the greatest hits tape a lot when I was little so I grew up with those singles. Investigated the first few albums when I got a bit older and loved them. Obviously with a discography that big there’s going to be some dross and I never bothered much with any of his 90s or 00s stuff, although the record with Burt Bacharach is good. Those singles though, are fucking brilliant. Watching The Detectives has my vote but it may change to Alison, Oliver’s Army or What’s So Funny… at any point.

Need to get @Kallgeese in here to get the 5 count up.

Really love his music but was (is?) a complete weapon and called Ray Charles a racial slur.

Abstain.

I want you.

So so good. The song ends with the engineer fading out all the instruments mics but leaving the vocal mic…really effective with the loud vocals and then the instruments in the room being heard through Elvis mic.

Love this song

My Aim Is True, Get Happy!!, This Year’s Model or Armed Forces are all great albums but you could do worse than just a greatest hits or best of tbh.
