I dunno why, but the (Air Raid Vehicle) in brackets next to Rollin’ has done me. Has that always been the song title? Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)

I mean, I guess they’re fun in a ridiculous sort-of way, and the Mission Impossible theme is a banger, but it’s a 1 isn’t it.

There are three Rollin’s.

Air Raid Vehicle, Urban Assault Vehicle, and Henry.

OHHH

Henry Rollin’  (sorry, slow morning. Genuinely thought you were comparing the Air Raid Vehicle to a vacuum cleaner)

Extremely solid 3. An excellent band hampered by a frontman playing Heel for the entire nu-metal movement who only got worse when he started trying to be taken seriously as an artist.

On the other hand - hands down one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen, and while I wouldn’t mount an impassioned defence of either album I’d be lying if I said I didn’t play Significant Other and Chocolate Starfish into the ground when I was in my late teens. Still get a massive nostalgia rush from both of them, totally incapable of judging them objectively.

also really enjoying the current collective realisation that despite being a nu-metal frontman from Florida, Fred Durst isn’t an anti-vaccine Qanon POS which just shows how low their image set people’s expectations for them.

Yeah there were two versions, the version you know and a more hip-hop version which was called “Rollin’ (Urban Assault Vehicle)”

  1. Shite at the time. Shite in hindsight.

Will allow Break Stuff as a fun song but Durst’s voice and entire shtick more than outweigh any half decent riffs

Gotta be a 2 for me. Probably the quintessential nu-metal band with some unquestionable bangers.

Would probably give a 3 if pushed when drunk

Wes Borland and Les Claypool should form a band
