🎵 How Good Are They Really 🎵 Limp Bizkit

I have the first Raging Speedhorn album on orange vinyl. It’s awesome.

Been listening to ST for the first time in ages. Such an incredible band.

How you do “sing” like that without destroying your voice.

Great band name though

They did not

As todd in the shadows rightfully pointed out. This songs central theme is being upset that statues of those who fought against those wearing the stars and stripes being torn down is somehow disrespectful of the stars and stripes

Let me throw on an album called ‘the chocolate starfish and hot dog flavoured water’

Seeing The Kennedy Soundtrack mentioned above reminds me of going to gigs in the early noughties. One of the singers, the bald one I think, was at every show I was at. Couldn’t get away from the fucker.

Then I went to Reading 02 (or maybe 03? Can’t remember). Was three songs into Slipknots set when I got my head cut open by a full bottle of water. Had to go back stage. Only “famous” person I saw? That fucking singer from The Kennedy Soundtrack. Fucker was everywhere.

Was supposed to see Limp Bizkit in I think it was 2002. Was a show in Milton Keynes with them, Godsmack, Outkast and someone else, but was cancelled. Was gutted. Even more so years later when I realised I could have seen Outkast at their peak.

Wrecked the Mission Impossible theme by making it boring old 4/4.
Definitely not as good Raging Speedhorn.

This thread is definitely influencing my listening habits over the last 2 days.

Drove into the office today listening to Slipknot. It was an enjoyable drive in, and certainly blew the cobwebs away…

in their main hit song why does he sing

now I know why you want to hate me
because hate is the world has even seen lately

shouldn’t it be ever seen?

what does even seen mean?

went on Genius to look at the lyrics and the song info starts with “Limp Bizkit drops a banging track, slamming on the critics with no remorse.”

I believe that can be disputed

The cruel irony of the tale of Frederick Allen Mayne III is that he in fact did not know why people wanted to hate him.

who is that?

it’s an Amercianism, which when you think about it makes slightly more sense then ever, as “ever” and “lately” would contradict each other
