I really liked this version when it came out. It’s a shame it features such a wrong-un.

Quite like Phoenix. Only got into them around Wolfgang
 and have found things to like in Entertainment and Ti Amo but they’ve not really lived up to that album. I have never gone backwards to their older albums beyond listening to the ‘This is Phoenix’ playlist on spotify (like a REAL music fan).

Have seen them live twice, once at the Barrowlands on the Ti Amo tour which was alright but a bit sparsely attended which was sad, and then most recently at Primavera which was out of this world good. The lighting, the setlist, the energy, all just incredible and absolutely blew Tame Impala (who were on just before them) out of the water.

They tend to make for good running/cycling music too.

It’s probs a 3/5 but gonna go 4 because of that Prima show recently

Saw their midweek Poble Espanyol show as part of Prima and it was absolutely tremendous. Had never seen them live, was blown away. Great sound, bags of energy and, of course, tunes for days.

Same thoughts on that Primavera set, they were incredible! 4 for me.

Hadn’t seen them live since WAP Tour at the Arches, which also featured some superb lighting.

They’ve got a few decent shows on Youtube. I think I had an enjoyable time watching this one recently.

A 4. The good stuff is REALLY good and they’re brilliant live.

Only thing i have to add is that they make some high energy bangers that work really well at children’s birthday parties.

Both my kids requested Lisztomania, Lasso etc at part of their party playlists and you’ve never really appreciated Phoenix until you’ve seen 20 seven year olds throwing themselves wildly around a village hall full of balloons to their music.
