šŸŽµ How Good Are They Really šŸŽµ Sharon Van Etten

  1. She’s ace, although her last album is not for me. The 2 previous are 10/10s i reckon

Never knowingly heard a note, will try listen to Tramp on the basis of the above poll

Give Tramp a go before the poll closes.

Wasn’t as keen on the last one, although it had its moments. Tramp and Are We There in particular are both absolutely brilliant, Your Love Is Killing Me is one of the most gut-punching songs I’ve ever heard.

This is underrated from an EP too

My Big Opinion is that Jupiter 4 is a better song than Seventeen.

Won’t hear a bad word about her

Are we There is such a powerful record. Find it hard to put on too often tbh cos it always knocks me out. Tramp and Remind me Tomorrow are wonderful

Heard Seventeen on the Music League playlist a while back, enjoyed it a lot. Will try to find some time for Tramp today or tomorrow.

  1. Brilliant songwriter. All her albums have taken time to sink in for me, but they’ve all been worth it.

Have only seen her live once (Dublin a few years ago), and she was great. Seems like a good spud as well.

Remind Me Tomorrow took a while to get its hooks into me, but it’s almost flawless really

Are We There is one of the only albums where the first time I heard it I was in tears before track 1 finished

Tramp is obviously incredible.

Need to listen to the other two

Don’t Do It from Epic is her best song. Love that album.

Definitely in the ā€œTramp is one of the best albums of the 10sā€ camp – I remember first hearing Give Out when it came on shuffle at a friend’s place and it absolutely floored me. Phenomenally good live too.

Easy 5 for me for everything up til are we there.

Was slightly under whelmed by Remind me Tomorrow but its good live.

Whenever I go back to listen to Epic, I find myself playing three or four times in a row, mostly on the strength of Don’t Do It.

Last one didn’t do it for me at all, but loved everything up to that

Think this is probably one of my favourite songs

Yes, so good. A shame the full set was only up for a short time on IPlayer.

Tramp’s one of those albums that I knew would be an ATD before I’d finished my first listen. She could’ve formed a Stereophonics covers band with the remaining members of Queen after that and she’d still be a 5.

Yeah this is the one for me.

One Day into this, perfect

I do like Seventeen, but I am surprised how it’s become her biggest one. Without wanting to sound like a complete indie prick I wouldn’t have it in the top tier of her stuff (or Every Time The Sun Comes Up which is her other biggest seemingly)

If you search on youtube for a crappy audio version it can be downloaded from a google drive
