Hey you lovely bunch,
I’m playing a gig next Friday in Islington / Angel and looks like I’m the lucky one driving our gear there. Can anybody suggest car parking that isn’t sketchy or outrageously expensive? Ideally within easy reach of the O2 Academy complex. Hoping the hive mind has experience of playing round there and can recommend somewhere!

There’s the Angel Centre and Upper Street car parks just by the venue but it’ll be arm and a leg time. Most of the streets immediately around there are on residents permits but there is some metered parking - I think it’s free after 6.30pm. Try the network of streets just off Essex Road.
You should be able to unload your gear on Parkfield Street.
Cheers for that. I’ve also managed to find some pre-booked spaces about a ten minute walk away from the Academy venues that would cost about £25 for the evening which isn’t too over the top for the area.
