Watched the Godfather Trilogy with my wife who had never seen it in first lockdown.
What’s everyone else got?
What’s everyone else got?
I don’t think i like it. Too much silliness.
I mean I’ve followed you but one star for Jojo Rabbit?
Very generous I thought!
Only just realised that if you log films on letterboxd it shows you a diary of what you’ve watched when
I’ve just been rating them until now. What a waste
Do people use this to mark off films they’ve watched previously or just to log stuff they’ve watched since getting the app?
I initially went through and tried to mark off loads of stuff, but it gets to a point where you can’t remember what you watched when you were 5.
yeah thats exactly what I was thinking. might just spend all year looking at threads on here and seeing what I’ve seen and giving them a 1 star review on there
I went through every list on icheckmovies.com ticking off every film I’d seen, and when Letterboxd was launched I put them all in. Also I tried my best to remember every film I’d seen in childhood.
Took about two weeks. I’m quite confident I’ve got 99%+ of every film I’ve ever seen logged on Letterboxd now
what a loser
I’m hopeless with this, so many films I’ve seen and just can’t remember. Going to be frustrating this
Judging by your ratings so far I’d be happy if you didn’t log any
I thought you were a mate_aksac, not a berk_aksac
As mentioned above: if you have Pro/Patreon add all the subscription services you have. You then can see what films are on what easily and you get an email when anything from your watchlist gets added to one. Vital for me and worth the few £.
You can also search the whole database by your services and then sort that data by unwatched, in watchlist, newest release, length etc.
You can do the same for liked lists…
…like this one for instance…once every few weeks I’ll filter it by ‘My Services’ and see if anything new from this year has been added to them.
Some other great/fun/odd lists:
I often filter these (and plenty of other lists i’ve liked) by what is in my watchlist and then by my services.
Literally the same til this year, like 4 years worth of just rating films and adding them to a big playlist of “films watched in 2019” or whatever. Silly!
I downloaded this during one of my worst hangovers ever (lasted til 8pm, I blame the rum)
Didn’t have the brain power to actually watch a film (had binged like 15 eps of Big Bang Theory just for distraction) but wanted to do soemthing film-y … so proceeded to yes spend all day trying to remember every single thing I’d seen @Mert ’s strategy makes much more sense, I just did things like add all the Coen Bros filmography, then span off from that to do all of John Goodman films I’d seen, then onto another actor etc etc
Best part of this is the fact there are 10 or so films I know I’ve seen and not logged, but don’t have enough details to ever find their names out
So sometimes mum gets a text saying something like “hey, what’s that film with the British guy who’s like the one from Cold Feet, but not him, and it ends with someone throwing some paint at another character? Cheers x”
Only 10? I forget most films I’ve seen (before Letterboxd) within a few months. Saw a post from about 18 months ago from me about The Bishops Wife - resd the synopsis and have no memory at all of the film whatsoever
