Ugh…

A friend of the TV is all magic and voodoo and wants to get into doing those calming/wellness talky recordings. TV very generously offered my advice and assistance since I’m an expert (I don’t know anything about it.

Advice please!

  1. She wants chilled house type backing tracks. Where could you get stuff like that either super cheap or license free?
  2. What do you reckon is the cheapest option for recording speech with super low ambient noise? I suggested that I lend her some gear and she does it at home late at night. The local rooms I use are great for drums/amps etc but would be useless for this stuff.
    Absolutely not my idea of fun, this!

Epidemic Sound are the ones that a lot of youtubers use

Artlist is another one, but that uses AI for a lot of it’s stuff.

Pixabay has lots of royalty free stuff but it’s generally a bit crap.

Soundstripe is another one, my partner did a podcasting course and it was recommended there.
