Parcel at the post office I should be able to pick up at lunchtime is hopefully the Andrew Bird record but will probably be a registered bit of admin or something.
Just looking at Songkick, they’re playing a venue about a five minute walk from my flat tonight, with Catholic Action supporting.
Not sure I’ve ever listened to Sleeper though.
TNP sounding great on first listen.

Wow big week… Mary Timony’s great so Ex Hex will be first up.
Lambchop’s last album was one of their best, so also looking forward to that.
Andrew Bird, These New Puritans, Jenny Lewis and a few others named above vying for my attention also.
Hope it’s a quiet day in the office.
Can’t work out why people seem so down on the new These New Puritans.
Sounds amazing to my ears - feel like anyone who enjoyed the general ambience of the recent Twilight Sad should love it, for example.
(LP3) is easing me into the day with it’s delicate shimmers and soothing tones. Think the guest vocals work really nicely too.

great bunch of La’s
New one from Thomas Ragsdale is excellent. Second in his Honley Civic Archives series - haunting ambience

Just popping this one on now. To accompany staring blankly at budgeting spreadsheets.

Listened to American Football and These New Puritans so far. Both absolutely gorgeous in different ways.
Jenny Lewis next, then Mary Lattimore and Mac Macaughan duet thingy. Lambchop, Ex Hex and loads of recommendations from you guys to fight it out for the rest of the day. It’s a busy one!

Yeah, so TNP first full listen and I immediately ordered the vinyl. Sounding incredible to me. Really not understanding the disappointment.
Forgot that was out today. Loved the first installment.

Thought that was next week for some reason. Going to listen to that now.
Just finished my first listen now - Six felt borderline transcendent.

Hadn’t heard that Mary Lattimore had another new project in the works! Three records plus a remix album all in under a year. Happy days!
