🐼🔥 New music 27 March 2026 🔥🐼

I don’t wish to alarm anyone but today is one of the most stacked release days I’ve ever seen. Let’s jump in…

(Songlink not working well for me so I had to resort to Spotify in the end sorry everyone)

The Twilight Sad - It’s the long goodbye

Scottish indie. With added Robert Smith?? First album in seven years wtf.

Holy Fuck - Event Beat

Do these guys even need an introduction on here? “Percussion-driven, electronically augmented art rock” apparently.

Shinichi Atobe - Silent Way

I’m expecting deep techno and a bit of ambient dub.

World Piano Day 2026 compilation

Does what it says on the tin :musical_keyboard:

Sofia Kourtesis - DJ Kicks

This should be a lush, house/melodic techno mix. This is on Spotify despite what the link below says.

Dalek - Brilliance of a falling moon

Alt hip hop. “The album paints a fiery portrait of life and resistance in fascist America.”

Snail Mail - Ricochet

Heart-on-sleeve alt rock.

Raye - This music may contain hope

Jazz pop superstar returns. Getting excellent reviews.

Robyn - Sexisential

Dance pop.

Courtney Barnett - Creature of habit

Aussie rocker’s fourth album.

The New Pornographers - The former sight of

Canadian indie poppers.

Foote/Dickow - High Cube

Boomkat say this is at the intersection of electronic music, dub techno, city pop and bleep techno which sounds right up my street.

Cancer House - The Moth

Post rock from Chicago. Getting excellent reviews.

SY3 - 梦游 Sleepwalker

Downtempo trip hop on Music From Memory.

Monster release day for me too.

Cryptworm - Infectious Pathological Waste

Filthy death metal. AOTY for me so far.

Foetorem - incongruous Forms of Evergrowing Rot

Debut LP of death/doom outfit from Denmark. Been following these guys for a while.

Hellripper - Coronach

Black and roll, one man project out of Aberdeen. 5th album, and all singles have been excellent.

Sluice - Companion

Indie with a country twang maybe. Driving guitars reminiscent of 80s Springsteen.

Charlotte Cornfield - Hurts Like Hell

6th record from one of best songwriters going. Her Merge debut and first record since having a child. Indie folk with a full band and guests from Buck Meek, Fiest, Christian Lee Hutson and more.

New Memorials album - Verity Susman from Electrelane and Matthew Simms from Wire making psychedelic pop. Consistently great.

It seems Songlink is having issues with the amount of releases today, I keep getting 429 too many requests errors when adding some spotify links. Anyway, as well as The Twilight Sad, The New Pornos and Hellripper there are these for me -

Antrisch - EXPEDITION III: Renitenzpfad

German atmospheric black metal. Previous album Expedition II explored the failed voyage to find the northwest passage, from the looks of things volume III revolves around the Conquistadors, El Dorado etc.

Aggressive Perfector - Come Creeping Fiends

Thrash/heavy metal side project from the members of Manchester black metal band Wode.

Winterfylleth - The Unyielding Season

Album number nine from the Manchester black metal titans. You know what you’re going to get from these guys by now.

Këkht Aräkh - Morning Star

Third album of ambient black metal from this Ukrainian artist.

Enisum - Autumn Embrace

Italian atmospheric black metal

Foghazer - He Left The Temple

“He Left the Temple is the debut album from Foghazer, a project built on trip-hop rhythm, black-metal texture and lo-fi cinematic atmosphere.”

Worriedaboutsatan - No Knock No Doorbell

New album from our man @worrier1, their twentieth no less! :astonished:

I think songlink is fucked. Not had any joy for weeks, and when I’ve used other links, it’s been pulling from pandora and boombox only.

Shame as it worked perfectly for a few years there. Off to find that thread for work arounds

Lauren Auder - Whole World as Vigil

Second album by trans art pop singer. Some torch songs and baroque bits I guess, really liked the debut anyway

Anyone else finding that something is causing the thread to cut out and refresh over and over when scrolling (on iPhone)? Simply too much new music this week

Loreen - Wildfire

Newie from the double Eurovision winner. Expect bangers.

Might just skip this week, can’t keep up
