Wendy Eisenberg - Wendy Eisenberg

Everything Wendy Eisenberg does is either interesting or great or both in my opinion, whether it’s as part of Editrix or the Bill Orcutt Guitar Quartet or their solo stuff (or a bunch of other previous and current bands and collaborations). A pastoral country-folk sound on this solo album, with pedal steel and violin added to Eisenberg’s finger-picked guitar, and maintaining a touch of the weird and experimental that’s always part of Eisenberg’s work. Getting hopefully melancholy (or melancholically hopeful maybe) feelings from this album.

I will also be making some time today for:

Nightmares On Wax vs Adrian Sherwood - In A Space Outta Dub

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Nightmares on Wax’s fifth album In a Space Outta Sound by joining forces with Adrian Sherwood for a dub makeover.

The Black Dog - Loud Ambient 2

Sheffield ambient techno sequel.
