Brown Horse - All The Right Weaknesses
This will be my first stop this morning. The follow up to last year’s excellent debut Reservoir, so hoping for more of the same!
Country rock six piece from Norfolk

Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs - Death Hilarious
Fluisteraars - Kronieken Van Het Verdwenen Kasteel - III - Grunsfoort
Dutch black metallers release their third EP in their Kronieken Van Het Verdwenen Kasteel series
Bloody Valkyria - In Our Home, Across The Fog
Second album of Elden Ring themed atmo black metal. Their debut was one of my favourite albums of last year.
Ancient Mastery - Chapter Three: The Forgotten Realm of Xul’Gothar
The third chapter of melodic, epic fantasy black metal from Austria’s Ancient Mastery revolving around the mysterious land of Valdura
Edit: don’t know why the Fluisteraars bandcamp isn’t showing ![]()
Me too! Can’t wait for Rainey’s album this year. I’m seeing him at an all dayer in Boro in may with an insane line up.
The foreign language edition:
Marlon Williams - Te Whare Tiwekaweka
Māori singing and chamberpop.
Baustelle - El Galactico
Italian language chamberpop.
Nand - Träume In Beton
German language synthy indie pop.
Will check out the new BC, NR even though the singles weren’t for me. Momma, too. We’ll see how bad my day gets, might chuck Mizmor on, too.
Sleigh Bells - Bunky Becky Birthday Boy
Hyperpop, noise pop, FFO 100 gecs, AG Cook, big guitars, big beats
Ive been really looking forward to this, the singles have been great (especially track 1 on the album, a hype tune written for her (sadly late) dog, which as someone who sings silly little songs to their dog all the time, is absolutely an idea I wish I’d had first.
Dirty Projectors - Song of the Earth
Angular guitars, big orchestral sounds, yelping singing
First new album in a few years, this time an orchestral album with Stargaze about the climate emergency. Should have the usual weird guitars and strange rhythms, wordy lyrics. High hopes for this one
Miki Berenyi Trio - Tripla
Miki from Lush with two of her erstwhile Piroshka bandmates to form the trio. There’s a dream pop wooz and fuzz to the indie pop/rock here and of course Berenyi’s very recognisable vocals. Enjoyed the pre-release tracks, though maybe not enough to get in the April album of the month reckoning, we’ll see what the rest of the album (and the month) holds.
Penelope Trappes - A Requiem
Foxtails Brigade - Red Album
Melodic dreampop.
Allllll about Momma and Florist for me today folks
Joe Keery from Stranger Things. The singles have been decent.
Needs a link right?
Oh actually Craig Finns solo is out too, huge day.
Singer from the Hold Steady teaming up with War on Drugs Adam on production for Bruce style storytelling. Becoming a big release day this.
Craig Finn - Always Been
Wow, lots out today huh
The Waterboys – Life, Death And Dennis Hopper
Pop Rock / Alt Rock
Cerys Hafana - The Bitter EP
This sounds quite special. Lovely voice and multi-instrumentation and sounds.
Kids Return - 1997
French dreamy indie pop.
Sarah Mary Chadwick - Take Me Out To A Bar / What Am I, Gatsby?
Depressing / emotional piano songs.
Sculpture Park - Monument To Effort
BC,NR type wannabes maybe. Not fully sure of the voice just yet.
Keeley Forsyth & Matthew Bourne - Hand To Mouth EP
More sad songs with moogy keyboards.
The Great Park - Valley
English alt-folk, voice sort of sounds like Chris T-T
Yann Tiersen - Rathlin From A Distance | The Liquid Hour
Double-album from the French multi-instrumentalist. Maybe the second album/half sounds a bit more interesting on first skim through.
With a name like Cerys Hafana had to check she was Welsh, sure enough a triple harpist from the wild lands of Machynlleth . Immediately on the to-listen list.
The Null Club – The Null Club (EP)
Gilla Band guitarist Alan Duggan Borges’ new project, featuring collaborations with E L U C I D, Faris Badwan of The Horrors and Valentine Caulfield of Mandy, Indiana
Enjoying what I’ve heard of this so far. Like a scary Enya.
The Underground Youth – Décollage
Berlin-based post-punk band led by Blackpool-born musician and author Craig Dyer
