New one on the Huerco S West Mineral label. āVapoured dub, chopped and droned Billie Eilish, and fidgety algorithmic jamsā (Boomkat).
Mohammad Mostafa Heydarian - Noor-E Vojood
Young Kurdish tanbur player Mohammad Mostafa Heyarian with a set of new compositions with the help of dohool player Morteza Rezâei. Recorded in Tehran, this is a raw and exhilarating take on traditional music and instrumentation.
Billy Mohler - The Eternal
New jazz quartet led by LA bassist and with the brilliant Jeff Parker (formerly of Tortoise) on guitar.
Dark, groovy synth-pop from Bianca Scout and Martyn Reid. Their Bandcamp page says it ādelivers spectral sounds that guide us through twilight spaces where time and memory converge, blending dark historical echoes with profound meditations on reintegration and fragility.ā
Itās really good.
Ambient / modern classical. This is gorgeous, really welcoming and calming. According to Bandcamp, Cycles is āsupine and aquaticā and I donāt disagree. Haroula is a film-maker and Oliver has arranged strings for Magdalena Bay, Dirty Projectors, and Helado Negro.

I have a new song out today. Itās a very 90s ambient track and itās called Vaporeal
(Itās from an album that comes out in April and you can pre-order it on Ampwall or Bandcamp)

I quite like the name I ended up with for it. I guess thatās kind of a fifth fact, youāre welcome!
Endlessly captivating electronic visionary does a beatless, ambient, semi-improvised reworking of his most recent ace Neptune Prize nominated album using tape machines and hardware, to raise funds for food banks in his Merseyside motherland (Bandcamp Fridayās back today). LIYL: Burial, Nico Jaar, Tim Hecker, Underworld, William Basinski
Old Amica - Vikande blƄ
Nice 3 track/20 minute ambient/instrumental EP from my favourite Swedish duo. The last track has a voice (the same voice?) repeating Yankee Hotel Foxtrot on it, for some nice Wilco nostalgia.
It was released as a split EP with someone called Aiko Takahashi, who added two ten minute tracks. All released on a snazzy handmade tape and mini cd release which I had to buy both editions of:
