Happy new Jay Som day!!! ![]()
Jay Som - Belong
First album in six years from the boygenius touring band member. Features Hayley from Paramore and Jim from Jimmy Eat World as guests.
Sanguisugabogg - Hideous Aftermath
Knuckle dragging, skull crushing, downright swampy death metal.
Happy new The Antlers day!
The Antlers – Blight
Wanted to shout about the new WARRINGTON RUNCORN NEW TOWN DEVELOPMENT PLAN as I’ve been hopping from foot to foot in anticipation of this since the gig last month, but it seems like Songkick requires you to sign up for an account and I’m not sure I can face doing that before 7am. Is there an easier generic share method?
There’s a lot of new music today. ![]()
Debut album from Burial Waves - Washed Clean
Heavy emo, bit of screamo from a supergroup(?) featuring people from Black Clouds, Caverns, and Pianos Become The Teeth. Singer is Kyle from PBTT so that’s the closest reference point in my head.
They had an EP out in 2021 so this took me by surprise a bit.
Really excited for this.
Huh?
It’s songlink you need
Today is all about The Necks - one of the greatest bands of the past 40 years, with their 20th studio album.
The Necks - Disquiet
A triple album, more than 3 hours long, of slowly shifting, mesmerising music that draws on jazz, komische, minimalism and yet remains unique.
Blawan - SickElixir
Hardware techno. Haven’t listened yet but love most of his stuff. Expect crunchy, inventive drum sounds, clipped vocals and a powerful sense of dread.
Oh and symbols is back with a new track:
Jerskin Fendrix - Once Upon A Time… In Shropshire
Beautiful sumptuous quirky orchestral indie pop from the first song. I hope the rest of the album is as nice. He did the soundtrack for the Poor Things movie a couple of years ago.
No account needed.
I prefer lynkify, easier to use.
Greg Jamie - Across a Violet Pasture
Sad sounding indie/slightly ambient sounds. Voice reminds me of Chad VanGaalen. Had Josephine Foster on one song.
After a few quiet weeks this week is stacked.
New Pink Parentheses mixtape with shit loads of guests
New HAAi album also has its fair share of special guests.
