Matthew C Whittaker - Songs for the Weary
Lovely set of dreamy songs - all done in 25 minutes - perfect for an early morning or late night. Fans of folk-jazz would like this.
KMRU - Kin
It’s been a long time since his last album by his standards - really looking forward to this. Expect longform ambient/noise/field recordings.
Charli XCX - Wuthering Heights
It’s not brat, but it is a new album soundtracking and inspired by the new film, also out today.
Mariachi El Bronx - IV
The Bronx, playing mariachi music (sincerely, not in a Vandals Play Really Bad Country Music way).
Fossilization - Advent of Wounds
Death / doom out of Brazil. Excellent record, had the preview stream on solid formation for a couple of days.
Worm - Necropalace
Coming in with a description relevant to my interests here: “ In combining symphonic black metal, majestic doom, ’80s shred and the occasional old-school death metal riff, Worm conjure their self-described “necromantic black doom””
Man, another week with nothing on my radar. 
Ásgeir – Julia
Icelandic indie folk guy. This is the first album where he’s written his own English lyrics and it shows – on first listen it’s way more engaging than some of his previous English albums, and the sound production is really nice. Also banjos! Steel guitar!
GEZAN – I Know How Now
Inventive, charmingly unusual indie-pop/art-rock (a bit difficult to pigeonhole) from Japan. Loved their last album (with Million Wish Collective) and this one sounds good so far. Sounds a bit more stripped-back, less intense and more playful maybe. Occasional bagpipes and rockier sections.
The wonderful Angel Dust are back, melodic hardcore? If you like turnstile check them out (used to share members)
Oculi Melancholiarum - Antherea
Intimidatingly prolific female Central American artist Victoria assumingly makes more dreamy black metal that sounds like Cocteau Twins at times and sheer hell at others. This may actually be a collab but im not sure
Just coming in hot to echo the Remember Sports record, easily my favourite lead singles since the new year
Feng: Weekend Rockstar
British sing-songy rap. Will be big. Not particularly clever but very listenable. Bit of a guilty pleasure of mine.
Nashpaints: Everyone Good Is Called Molly
4ADish indie. Very Maria Somerville (who they are in a band with). Good this.
Sissi Rada: Nana Butu
Dubby Chamber Music. A few years ago she’d be a cult favourite but tastes have changed. Last album was really special. Looking forward to this.
Also a couple of really cool looking Boomkat only things that I’ll look into and report back.
Hemlocke Springs - the apple under the sea
Quirky alt pop singer and fave artist of Chappell Roan drops her debut album. The EP a couple of years ago and singles are all great, so I’m expecting good things
Jill Scott - To Whom This May Concern
Neo soul legend returns for her first album in 11 years.
Danny L Harle - Cerulean
Ex-PC Music man and Charli hyper pop architect releases his new one with loads of high profile pop collabs. Polachek, PinkPantheress, Clairo, Oklou and Dua Lipa feature among others
Maulén - Enta Omry
Nordic post rock with a heavy Morrocan influence.
Also loving this so far. Had no idea it was coming out!
Cardinals - Masquerade
Scrappy folk rock from Cork, seems heavy on the accordion which is always fun. FFO Brogeal, Brown Horse, short song-era Titus Andronicus
