New releases 21/09/18

Oh I really enjoyed What One Becomes but have never explored beyond that. Will give this one a spin

Mountain Man record is so lovely

Two new songs by Shacketon!

Think he’s got one of the most unique sounds in the electronic world so I’m excited to have a listen.

Sumac is decent.

Lonnie Holley’s got a new one out today, and the single I Woke Up In A Fucked Up America was fantastic, so I’ll check that. Also the front cover of Semillero by Dengue Dengue Dengue is enough for me to give it a shot

Ruddy love a bit of Shackleton! His drum patterns are :open_mouth::face_with_raised_eyebrow::smiley:

On paper they’re exactly the kind of cerebral, beard stroking metal I should love. I’ve just never warmed to them though. Maybe this time!

Played Brockhampton before bed last night and it’s a really sweet, fun and pumped major label hip-hop debut. Definitely their best ā€˜put together’ release - look forward to spending more time with it.

Gazelle Twin and Suede for me today.

Ooh didn’t know about the Milo, cheers!

I’d like to buy some bits of that, but I’m not shelling out that kind of money for so much music I already own.

That said, the only thing on my list this week is the Durutti Column best of, although I’m buying that mainly for the bonus 7" which has his version of Albatross on it (and as I explained to a friend the other day, I know that Vini Reilly is broke following his strokes a few years back, so I don’t begrudge throwing a few quid his way)

Suede too! A bumper week again.

Metric, The Field and Prince for me

Ooh, I didn’t realise the new Forn album is out today as well. You’ll want to get on that if you’re a fan of truly harrowing doom. As I assume you all are.

Looking forward to giving the Suede album a spin later.

according to Angus it’s a sequel to ā€˜TFCF’ so I think it’s meant to be taken as a proper album

Cheers. Didn’t realise Metric have a new one out. Haven’t seen any reviews of it anywhere.

They haven’t been great so far but I always have a soft spot for Metric

The Field - Infinite Moment sounds glorious
