Perennial - In The Midnight Hour
Connecticut garage rock, art-punk sort of stuff. An exhilarating album of 1-2 minute blasts, the whole album clocking in at just 22 minutes. I really love this. For fans of The Hives, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Not much is tickling my fancy today. The debut full length from Kurokuma should be good though - raw filthy sludgey metal with a hint of psych for Sheffield. They’ve been around for ages but only just decided they were ready for a full length.
Might try that Thank album out and then peruse a few of the suggestions in here.

It’s a double-disc of existing songs (plus one new single), maybe mixed a bit differently. and then a third disc of bonus new stuff/odds and ends. Very much b-side mixed quality stuff though - an xmas song, his Spanish alternative eurovision song from a couple of years ago, a new version of perfect love song, and a few other tracks. 11 unreleased tracks anyway.

Josienne Clarke - I Promised You Light
Acoustic singer-songriter now based on the Isle of Bute. This EP is a more hopeful set of songs than the cathartic emotional wringer of her A Small Unknowable Thing album last year. Both excellent.

I’ve tended to find what I’ve heard more on the boring side in the past. Two feet in for the catchy tho.
Probably the most I’ve enjoyed one of hers.

Ha. It’s true tbf. Very strong ‘indie hype’ 2005 about BC,NR album.
They are indeed both very good though. Literally shocked at how much I liked that Animal Collective record.
