Didn’t spot this new thread. Loved that one. Good words, nice theme, great vibes

Never been able to do two in this quick succession before

Think some clues will get the usual suspects a bit wound up but nothing too outrageous.

Yeah, loads on there I had to reveal. Essentially a few were actually impossible in my mind. The guy writng it seems to swing wildly from “The number after six (5)” and “what colour am I thinking of?”

After getting maybe half in 10 mins and knowing I couldnt go any further I revealed the puzzle.

Tech for “Apple field” is an absolute cunt. Seriously fuck off. Haha had to genuinely laugh and out my phone down. This guy. This guy… Jesus.

There’s quite a lot of clues in that one that are genuinely terrible

1 across can absolutely do one

The clue for that should be/is “apple’s field”, introduce a bit of ambiguity and confusion but on the part of the solver, not the setter.

Spent way too long trying to nail down the intersection of the Jewish wedding song and the pharmacy giant. No idea on neither, and took a roundabout journey getting the nearby letters via other answers.

“Apple field.” ::golf clap::

Bit of a delay caused by a wrong answer to “+”.

“Pub orders” should be “Pub order”, in my imho.

Not knowing Thanksgiving Day and having to deduce that didn’t help.

The problem with + as a clue is that there’s a legitimate one word answer which then fucks you over as it becomes a battle with the UI to correct it.

Jewish song and pharmacy intersection cost me 20 seconds as I just brute forced it.

The more obtuse it gets the more I love it. I think me and Joel could be friends.

Yeah, this was a key failure in the middle of the crossword. Three options that fit and all are valid in the spacing.

No wrong answers on the way, but maybe a bit slow figuring which clues to tackle in which order. Should probably have taken on four down earlier than I did, but didn’t want the answer to be what it was (if hair loss is your top concern your life is pretty charmed).

It’s probably topped some sort of poll at some point

That’s actually a decent clue. It’s a good easy starter if you know it, and one you can fairly rapidly get from other letters.

Couldn’t do it.

The combination of 1A, 2A and 5D was impossible for me.

Aye, it’s a totally fair clue, for the NYT and every USian. I accept my cultural distance/ignorance.

Canadian thanksgiving is different.

Alright. Got 1A in the shower and went back to my original guess for 2A.

More like twenty in reality.

1 across made me laugh when I got it from the other words

I think that’s a slightly cryptic clue, “top” also referring to the top of the head/body.
