Feels like Higgins, Stanley, Trey Smith etc coming off the market has taken the sting out of free agency a bit (the 4th best available player according to the CBS tracker is a centre Iāve genuinely never heard of).
Hope Darnold gets a nice move (ie not to either New York team), would be content for the Bengals to take a few risks too, particularly at pass rush or safety (Chase Young and Talanoa Hufanga could both have huge upside).

I donāt hate that deal tbh, think thatās about what Darnoldās worth (possibly a little less) and apparently itās the same deal Geno refused before getting traded. Bizarre as it seems $30-$35m is the going rate for mid-tier starters now; in terms of annual earnings heāll be between Baker Mayfield and Derek Carr.

True, but I think heās way below mid-tier. Fully expect him to revert to the Darnold everyone though he was before the Vikings year.
I guess in QB terms this is true, and the moves theyāre making suggest theyāre probably tanking for a year or two anyway. Still seems like a colossal waste of money, but I suppose that doesnāt matter ultimately.

WR market is baffling. Dyami Brown (784 career yards in 4 seasons) will be paid $10m this year by the Jags. More than Derrick Henry will be paid, per Bill Barnwell. The hell is that about? At least Slayton has done some stuff during his career.
