just pick one and get it marked on your map
My (standard) copy of this arrived today. Its lush
I really, really wanted to like this game but I’ve never been so frustrated with basic gameplay in all me life
it’s one of the greatest games of all-time
It’s hard to get to grips with but beautifully elegant when you get there - you just have to attune to the cosmic choreography of it all! If you can complete Silksong you can do this easy! ![]()
It asks a lot of you in the opening hours, but I think if you just explore, try things, learn by osmosis and stick at it then the pieces all begin to click.
Its possibly my favourite game ever? Or certainly my second.
I got like, half way though I reckon. My journal was pretty populated with things I’d found. I just wasn’t enjoying myself at all
I think the time limit annoyed me the most, just stressed me out.
I think it deserves more than just giving in and playing with a walkthrough/guide, I’d rather not play it at all
Feel free to use this chat and we can point you in the right direction. I didn’t use a walkthrough too much tbf, but definitely relied on help online to find places I’d been many hours earlier (but forgotten where and when they appeared) or to figure out how to chain the final act together. I knew what I needed to do, just not quite the order.
And I kept dying on this one sequence I was convinced I needed to do. Which I 100% did, I was just being stupid
Ok let’s go then
I went to the moon of Timber Hearth (A___rock?) and put the ball into different parts and watched some things spin around. I take it they align with the planets at different points through the giant circles but no idea what I gained from that.
Maybe someone else can remember specifics but I wouldn’t be afraid to just go off and see what happens elsewhere! You’ll start joining the dots. I approached it as a kind of sandbox initially though.
that’s my problem. I know the point of the game is to explore and fill out the log. I just want a bit more structure so I don’t bounce off it again.
Ah, understandable, I just loved working out the hidden mechanics of it all!
I presume you know this, but there’s a board at the back of your ship that updates with new discoveries, and eventually begins to tell you where there is more to do or draw lines between places / puzzles that connect.
I ask as I forgot it was a thing for ages and when I went back to it, I found it largely pointed me in the right direction.
So you are right. And from a quick Google, I would suggest you compare your map to that contraption and see if you notice anything unusual
map like the planet map?
Also I went and found the NPC on Giant’s Deep in the hammock. Explored the wee island and then my log says there’s still more to do here. Is this in reference that you should keep talking to him when you discover more things? Or have I missed some other thing on that island
Could be either tbh. Just means there is more to uncover there. Either at a different time on the planets cycles, in a place you haven’t found yet or by furthering the chat.
Did you go downstairs?
Yep, read all the foreign text on the walls
