I’m a couple of days late but a few of these will definitely be in my end of year list, if I do one.
Dunno how you do this but Initiate and Militarie Gun’s are mine
Ooh dont have last.fm
lastcollage is broken for me again
is Elon running that now too?
Hmm. This is basically one album my 6 year old loved followed by a bunch of albums that are either long or I listened to twice. Doesn’t really correlate to my favourites other than I think Nondi_ and Mette Henriette are both great records.
-
Sparks - The Girl is Crying In Her latte - 21 listens
-
Depeche Mode - Momento Mori - 14
-
Spotlights - Alchemy For The Dead - 13
-
BC Camplight - Last Rotation Of Earth - 11
joint 5th - Kool Keith & Real Bad Man - Serpent - 10
Billy Woods & Kenny Segal - Maps - 10
Couple of these are just really long albums, as expected (1st and 3rd definitely very long). Think the most I’ve played any album this year is 4-5 times.
Trying to work out how many are new this year - Boygenius, The National, Pool Kids, Fireworks, Deathcrash. Blaming the What Is Music podcast for the amount of Radiohead tbqh
Missing Warren Zevon’s S/T for some reason which must be my most listened-to by a mile. And a couple of odd ones I’ve barely listened to. But near enough.
Best Velvets album
Daniel Avery and Skee Mask dominating 2023 with 4 albums each. I’d expect to see Craven Faults and Do Nothing get way higher by the end of the year, but I suspect James Holden will keep the top slot.
