It’s less fun than I’d have hoped. My guess is 12.124

I genuinely tried to work this out in my head and was out by 0.001.

[X^2 = 147, Y^2 = 144
X^2 - Y^2 = 3 = (X-Y)(X+Y)=(X-12)(X+12)
Z=X-12
3=Z(Z+24)
assume Z^2 is negligible
3~24Z
Z~0.125
X~12.125]

I was thinking around 17 because 10x10=100 and 7x7=49 and those two added together are close to 147, but then I remembered that’s not how square roots work then I lost interest.
