Yesterday they teased that there would be an announcement today.
The announcement turned out to be that there’ll be an announcement on Friday (with some of the lineup and the first headliner).

Yeah booked up almost Straight away again. Pretty much taling place over New Year in 2026!
Yeah, we did too. A few people weren’t happy about how early it was, but it works for us.
Next year it’ll be later again - someone asked them about this and basically it will always start on the first Friday of the year, unless that’s New Year’s Day.
Ugh to Lydon while at the same time quite wanting to see PiL. Hooray to Dry Cleaning!

Still a load to add as well as two more headliners. Going to watch PiL and if he just plays the songs and otherwise shuts up I’ll stick it out.

Thinking about doing this. How much does it ends up costing for the ticket and accommodation? Depends on how much you max out the hotel room I guess?
The earlier you do it the better - the remaining options will probably cost a bit more because you pay for the accommodation more so than “per person”. Six of us are sharing the nicest type of chalet this year (which is hardly flash but decent enough) and that cost £113 each, which is a ridiculous bargain. Go in the most basic one and it’s under £100 each with six people. The first year we went, two of us stayed in the Ocean Hotel which was surprisingly nice and that cost about £150 each.
Accommodation choices are relatively limited now (about 5% of tickets left) but as a general rule, the more of you that go, the better the deal. You’ll definitely be paying more than the above but frankly it’s be a steal at twice the price for the accommodation and all those bands, the films, parties and Q+As (not to mention the pool party - their pool complex is ridiculous fun). If you go and really enjoy it, book up for next year on the weekend itself - the sales office is open all weekend and that’s how we got the deal above. You get even more off if any of your number has a Blue Light card.
PS. It took me 20 mins of being there the first time to know it would become an annual event. The demographic skews surprisingly old at it but it’s great - open minded oldies rather than the “there’s no good music anymore” mob. They basically pay for name headliners and undercard, then new bands, many of whom go on to bigger things and I saw them there first.

Great thanks. I’m seeing £430 for the Ocean Hotel which between two is still fine tbh if it includes everything. Are there any parts of it that cost extra?

There’s a small number of paid activities that are part of Butlin’s rather than the festival, but I’ve never had time to do any of that. But as someone has said above, that’s all accommodation and entertainment. Don’t miss the pool party, they used to have two but sadly I think it’s just one now.
The list of weekenders that have a pool party doesn’t include rockaway beach - can that be ignored do you think?
Can’t believe this actually starts on 2nd January this time. Godspeed to anyone able to get themselves to Bognor on that day.
