Rolling Heavy Music Thread 2025

Do it! Machukha were great last year.

I’ll be holding an ecumenical council with Mr L to make a final decision but I’m definitely keen for Sunday and probably Saturday too.

I’ve given it a miss the past couple of years on the basis that there’s only one or two bands I know/like on the line-up, then I see footage after it’s done and hear testimonials and it sounds like a great weekend and I get heavy regret. So really need to sort my shit and go to at least one of the days.

Plenty to enjoy on the Saturday too. I’d really like to see The Chisel.

and @keith - I went on the Sunday of the first year and bar a couple of minor things (mostly around wristband collection and merch, which I believe have been sorted), it was a really great day out, well organized and there was a really good vibe at the venues. I’m definitely going to go see Torche on the Friday night and might go for Sunday too.

Might go on the Sunday too, first year was great but I missed last.

It’s the perfect size for an event like it

I’ve been to both of the weekends and they were very good.

Not sure they’ll ever top Deafheaven/ Chat Pile/ Liturgy as part of a lineup but I’m still keen to do as many days as I can.

Title track is a banger! Great riff!

Undeath tour! London date is the same day as Mogwai/Lankum, but their latest is one of my favourite records from last year so it looks like I’ll be travelling somewhere else to see them!

Ah I was on the fence for the Mogwai show, but this has just made my mind up for me.

I was also considering this, but fairly sure it would be disappointing… So mind made up here too.

turns out the Norwich show is 200 cap and I’ve been meaning to visit friends there anyway, so it’s all worked out quite nicely thankfully!

strange because Frail Body are playing Damnation fest

maybe they have them on an exclusive which is harsh. They were phenomenal last year on tour, would love to see them again

Same, cannot get into Conjurer at all. Pijn, I can a bit more, but still not bothered. Cure These Metal Hands though are great.
