This is genuinely mad

The pitchfork review is very weird

Interesting decision to glaze over a lot of stuff

It reads like its someone almost both siding the Diddy case at the very least.

I used to naively, not defend but was unaware of the stuff surrounding Jay Electronica round the time of the album in 2020, but since then quite clear should have been more aware guy is on the same level of not listening to or engaging as Kanye/Ye.

It seems to ponder the genuine intellectual curiosity behind all this stuff, or whether he’s just trolling. When actually, he’s insane… a dangerous hate driven basket case who long went off the deep end (like Kanye, just with a much more niche platform).

yeah got it on now, that’s the best track so far

Holy crap, this Myka 9 & Blu album has a Stereolab sample on the second track. Not really done too much to it tbf, sounds like they’re just rapping over the track at points.

Just listened to it, was pretty good. Tails off a bit towards the end, especially Gang Bang and Happy.

terrible song, what a waste of those features eh

Yeah, that was the one I was looking forward to and most disappointed by. Was concerned before too considering it was under 3 minutes long.

That was what prompted me to listen to the album on Friday. Utter shite. Rest of the album is ok though

Single up on streaming. Not bad, but veers a bit too middle of the road for me tbh. It’s not even the Rag’n’Bone Man feature, he sounds fine, it’s just a bit plodding.

Nice artwork. Not sure I’m into the guest vocals.

Just realised that Armand Hammer/Alchemist and Danny Brown are both releasing their album on the same day. Can’t wait.

Do quite like the Mobb Deep album. Reckon the pitchfork review is about right, it’s a solid if not exactly adventurous attempt to make a Mobb Deep album, but when even was the last one of those? The 90s? Expectations were rock bottom, as is the bar tbh, but probably my favourite of these Mass Appeal records.

New Cool Kids album is sounding pretty good. May be the closest thing they’ve done to the sound of The Bake Sale.

EDIT: Well, it started off sounding like The Bake Sale, but doesn’t stay that way. Still good, though.

Don’t know the latest on Ferreira’s status but here’s some news.
