Kevin Campbell did an amazing, really funny Cameo for my mate’s birthday. Seemed like a really good egg.
Gutted to wake up to the news this morning. I saw reports last week that he was in in hospital with kidney failure, but obviously hoped he’d get through it.
Being young Everton supporter in the 90s there wasn’t a lot to celebrate, but Kevin Campbell was definitely one of the few positives - some important goals, saved us from relegation, scored a derby winner and has always been a great champion for the club since.
Everything I’ve ever read about him seems to confirm he was a great guy too. Rip Super Kev.
This is really lovely. My mate (same pal who was at the Scotland game last night) put it really well when he said “People always say what a great guy they were when people die, but Campbell actually was.”
Yossi Benayoun.
It is done
Good luck to him, looks like a DiSer
Is this the 1st time a partner has been used in a transfer?
The MLS had a period of instead of penalties you run towards the goalie with the ball and try to score
- I knew this
- I didn’t know this
Was the NASL wasn’t it?
and they had a shootout after every league game that ended in a draw, so there were loads of them
I’ll take your word for it
Fucking hell
Holy shit it was in the MLS from 1996 - 1999. Always thought it was part of the floundering of the NASL before they started again.
@Funkhouser @Jimouthargyle any memories of George Cooper? He’s signed for West Didsbury & Chorlton, bizarrely. Dropping down two leagues from when he was last playing in England.

He’s done a tremendous job getting St Pauli promoted as champions, think he could be a good fit, do wonder who they’ll get now mind
Could have been a great player but injuries and cocaine ruined his career. Seemed like a massive dickhead tbh.
I figured injuries were a part of it. That’s not promising, we’ve already signed one absolute weapon with a record of homophobia and transphobia. Apparently the board have spoken to him and he’s learnt but I imagine he’s just learnt to hold off on the Jordan Peterson retweets.
Are these signings coming in on the recommendation of the new manager, or is he more of a coach separate to the recruitment?
