There’s no way that Alien Ant Farm are Nu-Metal and Deftones aren’t

Wasn’t my poll, but I agree. Incubus is also a stretch, there’s basically that one album that sounds a little bit nu-metalish, but not really.

Should probably put Taproot in there, they were definitely part of that 7-string scene.

I don’t count Slipknot as nu-metal. Certainly not their debut, it’s far dirtier/naughtier/heavier than - for example - Break Stuff.

I consider Break Stuff as the prime example of nu-metal.

the debut is deffo my-metal. it’s just the korn sound taken to its logical conclusion

Indeed. I couldn’t not pick Fugazi but could easily have had Mission of Burma or Replacements if they weren’t on there
